GCSE EXAMS

A bet is a bet

There’s 104 days of summer vacation and school comes along just to end it. So the annual problem for our generation is finding a good way to spend it….

Today has literally been one of the best days of summer, I feel as though that it was on par with results day just because I got to see all of my favourite people! There was a lot of build up to this day but it finally arrived and I shaved off all of Harris’ hair!!! he is now officially bald (or near enough).

Before and after photos are a wonderful thing and I hope you all enjoy looking at them.

Also I would just like to say that a few years ago I joked to Harris that I wanted to become a hairdresser, he didn’t like the idea but today I actually got to start this new career; I can now finally start my journey to becoming a barber-surgeon (move over, Paré) which is an exciting time for all of us. I would also like to say that shaving off someone’s entire head full of relatively long locks is quite fun and I do actually see why people make it a lifetime job (and I mean I wasn’t even getting paid to do it!).  I would just like to thank Harris again (probably the 50 millionth time) for every single thing that he did for me, always keeping me positive and unlocking method maths papers to do at home, but most of all for becoming my teacher because I don’t actually think that I would have ever dreamed of liking maths as much I do or getting a grade 9 if you weren’t there. You saved us in two times of desperate need and your commitment to our class clearly allowed us to flourish (even if you did turn into Hulk Harris for a while). I’m so glad that you let us come back whenever we needed help, even if we did stay and annoy you a lot, you were just simply amazing and I hope your new year 11 class appreciate you just as much as we did. And remember to never make any bets against students ever again, or Avery might not be very happy!

So after all of the head shaving Lilla, Jake and I organised all of the humanity departments school books which was a great laugh AND I got a hand shake from Weare, so now I’ve had a handshake and a tweet from him, it’s like I’m famous or something.

Tomorrow is what some people call a ‘new beginning’. I shall be officially starting my a levels at Sir Isaac. I’m mostly excited about getting my timetable and comparing it to Lilla’s, something that has been a tradition of ours for the past five years!! I will also be meeting all my new teachers who I’m sure are nice… As well as being excited, I am kinda nervous because I don’t really know if I want to meet new people or start my subjects. However, I’m sure that this will be a great experience even if I am sleep deprived because the hours are so long. As long as I have my watch on my wrist and my brain in my head I’m sure that I’ll be fine! (I might make that my new slogan tbh)

peace out – jasmine

p.s. just remember that there will be regular updates by both of us now!

p.s.s. we made funky bunch t-shirts which are awesome too!! + there was meant to be a video but Lilla and I are tight arses and won’t upgrade to the premium plan so I’ll try upload it on twitter so just look out for it (and follow me)
