I feel like I have a lot of things to say but not a lot of time to write it. I would like to introduce you all to the fabulous system of hours, it’s all kinda confusing but once you get your head around it you’ll be fine! Basically to tell you the truth, time management is going to be very hard this year and I don’t actually think that there is enough time in the week to actually live. I’m now going to try and explain how the hour system works:
- within one week there is 168 hours. I leave the house at 7 in the morning and will usually get back at 5, 10 hours. I therefore have 118 hours left in my week.
- on top of my work at school apparently I should be spending 40 extra hours at home doing extra work, this takes my total to 78 hours.
- I hope to get around 8 hours of sleep a night (this probably doesn’t happen), my total is now down to 22 hours left.
- as you can tell my 22 hours are left for showering, toileting, eating, drinking, blogging, liVING, BREATHING!!!!!!!!!! and so on.
My 22 hours also include any, lets hope not, extra time I have to stay at sixth form for an assembly or an elective or just general studies. This clearly shows that I have virtually no time to do anything so pls don’t ever ask me to do something extra. Now that I have shared this with you I hope you can all appreciate how my life going at the minute (I literally teared up on the train to sixth form today because I was working out this hour system).
You’re all probably wondering (but secretly loving that fact that) why on earth is there a blog post on a Monday surely not enough has happened, but oh I assure you my friend that a LOT has happened today…….
Today I got to use the printer and this might not seem like a big deal but I now have my own little ID code for it and I can print out what I want when I want (within limitations). However, the printer wasn’t working for me which made me really sad but I got to use the photocopying side of the machine instead!!!! It’s super cool and now I get to even staple my sheets together which makes me feel like Harris when he printed off bazillions of past papers for me!!
Today I also got my chemistry baseline test back and I would like to sat that I got over 50% which is quite an achievement? but I did have my lesson with mr Jennings (the head) who is brill, one of the best people in the college, and I think he even knows my name. My other lesson today was maths which didn’t really go as well, I’m not really sure if I like it still. One of my teachers just reminds me of Bufton that I don’t know if I can even imagine liking him. The other teacher is nice but neither of them are Harris so I just don’t know about maths anymore. The only good thing is that I do some maths questions and I enjoy solving it, I just don’t know if it can be a full time commitment.
The end of the day was a real life experience I have got to say. At Jane Austen college there is a sixth form assembly on a Monday, obviously I do not go there but I decided to join Lilla and Kieran today and I truly feel like I got to experience the chaos that runs around that place. The assembly started late and it was all just very unorganised but it was great!
Today was also great because Lilla and I were just constantly reminiscing all of the stupid and really funny things that we’ve done within our school career. We also went through our messages that we sent each other during mocks and they are so funny, I hope that Lilla shares them with you because I am truly running out of time now. Anyway, I hope everyone has a lovely week and I’m sure I’ll be back at some point to update you all on my very (but not very) exciting life.
peace out- jasmine
