A LEVEL MOCKS

Lovely lunch with Lilla (and obviously more mock exams)

I’m so sorry that this post wasn’t written last night but I was so tired after the crazy Friday night reunion that I just wanted to sleep (and because I had a lack of sleep over that mock nights so I was extremely tired).

I can’t believe that mock are over! Normally they would be going on for two weeks, but now it’s only two days and they’re already over. At the same time, it’s a lot better that they are over quickly because A levels are hard and I can’t revise for them.

Yesterday I had chemistry in the morning which was okay. I find chemistry is my best subject because it’s quite straightforward and uncomplicated, unlike biology. My only problem at the moment is that I get bored during the exam so I just can’t really be bothered. It took me 30 minutes to get through question one on the paper which meant that I didn’t have enough time to complete the paper to how I wanted it. I accidentally left a six marker at the start because I did want to answer it at that point but I didn’t have enough time to finish it at the end, so that wasn’t great! However, there was a question on what quantitive analysis barium chloride is used for and I could not remember a thing about any tests but I went out on a whim and said that it tested for a sulphate and formed a white precipitate and I was right!! So hopefully that’s how the rest of my chemistry paper went.

Philosophy was in the afternoon and this probably the only thing I actually revised for because I find it so hard and complicated that I get too stressed out over it. Lilla and I managed to get in some epistemology revision before our lovely lunch (which obviously was to de-stress us!). The paper was actually alright. Peck told us that the paper would be hell if we didn’t revise and I understand where she was coming from but luckily I revised that specific area!! My timing for the paper were so good, I managed to write so much and still have time to go to the toilet half way through and have spare time at the end to read over, which I never normally do. I don’t think that I have gotten amazing marks (due to my probable lack of evaluation) but it’s my first full paper and I’m happy to pass this time.

Overall, I’m not happy with biology but chemistry was a bit better and philosophy made me happy so I will just have to wait and see what grades I get next week. Also I just hope that my philosophy class do super well because they all deserve!!
